4-H, Vocational, and Youth
Genreal 4-H Projects

The following 4-H projects will be displayed in the Linda Ballard Hulslander 4-H Building. They must be entered and judged on Saturday July 12 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Projects must remain on display and will not be released until Saturday July 26 after 10 p.m. or Sunday, July 27 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Exhibit Cards must be attached to individual projects (if you have three craft projects, each craft must have an exhibit card). Books and posters do not need exhibit cards if they are clearly labeled. All crafts must be placed in a box or bag with your book. Posters should not be larger than 14" x 22".

4-H projects will be scored two times:
  1. 4-H Roundup:  Projects receive blue/red/white, ribbons based on the record book, 4-H participation/activities, story, and article or exhibit made as part of the project. Grand Champion ribbons and trophies are given to those 4-Hers who model the 4-H motto, "To Make the Best Better," based on their record book, 4-H participation/activities, story, article or exhibit made as part of the project, and interview.
  2. Troy Fair Judging:  Projects receive ribbons and money based on the article or exhibit only, as explained in sections A-13 through A-24.
