Opening Act for Elle King Announced

Mar 10, 2016

TROY PA - The opening act for Elle King scheduled for July 27th is JONATHAN JACKSON + E Nation- well known as Avery on the hit show Nashville.

Jonathan Jackson + Enation are an anthemic Alt/Rock/Pop three piece from Nashville, TN. Their Emmy-Award winning frontman is also a well-known actor. Jonathan's acting credits include "Tuck Everlasting", "General Hospital", "Insomnia", & “Nashville”, in addition to many other TV and films.

They have been playing music together for over 10 years, but have recently signed to the rock label Loud & Proud Records. The band released the LP 'Radio Cinematic', produced by multi-platinum selling and Grammy nominated producer Greg Archilla (Collective Soul, Matchbox 20) and have seen their first single ‘Everything Is Possible’ climb the Hot AC radio charts. The song and the band caught’s attention and the band was dubbed ‘Tomorrow’s Hits… Now the rock band is on the rise.’

“If you look around at the world, the hardest thing to do is to overcome the darkness that is around us — to break through that weight. It’s the role of the artist to push back against that.” says lead singer Jonathan Jackson.

The theme of illumination resonates through ‘Radio Cinematic’ — starting with its first single, the sprawling, swelling “Everything Is Possible.” Jonathan hammers out the most of the band’s melodies and lyrics himself, before roping in his bandmates to bring those songs to life. His chorus for this cut — “I wake up every day and feel brand new / Love / Everything is possible with you” — is at once vague and subversive in elocution. “Love has a fight in it. It’s not passive. It’s fierce,” he says of the track’s reliability. “There’s this proverb: Love is stronger than death. ‘Everything Is Possible’ takes that idea of rebellion and applies it to love.”

Members: Jonathan Jackson - vocals, guitars, piano, keys Richard Lee Jackson - drums, percussion, programming Daniel Sweatt - bass, keys
